Plan your 2030 public holiday breaks
The Tasmania calendar lists 10 full-day statewide or territory-wide observances in 2030. This count includes additional or substitute days listed in the table, and excludes regional, special and part-day entries. It is a calendar count, rather than a guarantee of paid days off for an individual roster.
Easter in TAS in 2030
Good Friday falls on Friday 19 April; Easter Monday falls on Monday 22 April. For someone who normally works Monday to Friday and has Good Friday and Easter Monday off, the Easter period creates a four-day break. Check your normal work pattern before treating weekend public holidays as extra leave.
ANZAC Day in 2030
ANZAC Day: Thursday 25 April (actual). Use the observances shown in this jurisdiction’s calendar. Weekend arrangements vary between states and territories, so a neighbouring state’s Monday observance should not be assumed to apply here.
Friday and Monday holiday opportunities
These full-day dates can create three-day weekends for a standard Monday-to-Friday work pattern. Easter is shown separately above. These future dates are provisional projections; reconfirm them before booking.
- Australia Day — Monday 28 January
- Eight Hours Day — Monday 11 March
- King's Birthday — Monday 10 June
Local details to check before booking
In Tasmania, check Royal Hobart Regatta and Recreation Day coverage separately, as well as your local show holiday. Easter Tuesday generally applies to the Tasmanian Public Service. Cup holidays can have limited application and part-day timing. These entries are separate from the statewide full-day calendar.
Keep planning with the right tools
Check regional and special holiday coverage, compare long weekend options, or calculate a break with Annual Leave Planner. Families should also check school dates independently. Public holidays and school holidays are different calendars.
